I am sure many of you out there have heard of TED talks – where interesting and intelligent people come together to present ideas. Ideas that range from the simple to the complex, and provoke the curiousity that is in everyone to come out and ask a question of a topic.
The TED Blog recently made an announcement, noted here:
On May 24, we’re holding the first-ever public audition for TED Talks. It will take place in New York in front of a live audience made up of TED staff and members of the TED community. The audition will be recorded, and the best talks could either be posted on TED.com or win an invitation for a full-on mainstage presentation at TED2012 in California early next year. Make a one-minute video to qualify.
The deadline is April 25th, so get crackin’!
This is a great opportunity for the minds at the University of Alberta to come up with something different that will showcase their ideas to the world in an innovative way.
