UAlberta Field Research Information Session

Every year, the Field Research Office holds an information session to help prepare researchers for the approaching field season.

This year it will be held:
January 31, 2014
2-4pm
Room #M137, Biological Sciences Bldg

Topics to be discussed are:

  • Responsibilities of UAlberta employees at the research or work site
  • University policies applicable to field researchers
  • Answers to logistical questions (preparation of Field Activities Plan, where to get training, borrowing communication equipment, first aid kits and AEDS)
  • Generally where to go for all your field research related questions

There will be representatives speaking from various units across campus including the Office of Insurance & Risk Assessment, Environmental Health & Safety, the Fleet Safety Officer and the Field Research Office.

We would very much appreciate it if you would forward this email on to those researchers (including graduate students or research staff) in your department that you know would benefit from attending this session.

Participants who RSVP at the event page have their name entered to win a door prize (they have to attend the session to accept the prize).
